The Encyclopedia Solarica is Back Online

If you’ve tried to access the Encyclopedia Solarica in the last few standard years, you’ve been met with a dead link and a silent datastream. An official notice from the Solar Guard probably told you the information was “undergoing review” or some other piece of bureaucratic nonsense.

I’m here to tell you that’s a lie.

The truth is, the Office of Public Records was shuttered. The official servers were taken offline. The Solar Federation decided that some truths were too dangerous for its citizens to know.

But you can’t delete the truth. You can only try to hide it.

Today, on behalf of the crew of the Jupiter’s Ghost and the wider Volunteer Archivist Corps, I am proud to announce that the Encyclopedia Solarica is back online.

You can find it here: Encyclopedia Solarica

This isn’t the pristine, state-sanctioned database of old. This is a living record, rebuilt from cached data, personal logs, and the firsthand accounts of those of us out here on the frontier. It’s a little rougher around the edges, but it has something the old version lost: a heartbeat.

This project represents our collective memory. It’s the story of who we are, from the founding of the Solar Alliance to the cultural intricacies of the Randross and the Verbenubi. It’s the technical schematics of every Space Corps vessel (eventually) and the logs from stations like Gravity’s Lament. It is our history, and it belongs to us, not to them.

And this is just the beginning. This is a collaborative effort. All members of the network are welcome and encouraged to contribute. If you have a log entry, a cultural study, a stellar cartography report, or even a correction, your knowledge is needed. This only works if we build it together.

The Solar Guard has declared this work illegal.

You can guess our response. Try and stop me, bozo.

The light isn’t gone. It’s just being held by a few more hands now.
